Sister Nivedita Academy has set up an e-Learning Hinduism course, “VIJNANA BHARATI – Mukhyanandaji of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur, Howrah, India, “ present before the Hindu Society, especially before the youth who want to have rational, scientific and practical knowledge of all aspects of the Hindu Culture and Spiritual Heritage which has come down from the most ancient sages and seers to the modern savants and spiritual preceptors.”

The first year course has 14 lessons, which delineate the salient features of Indian thought and culture in the basic scriptures of Hinduism and its early literature — the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Epics and the Puranas, the Gita, and the Smritis, and also in the two other great religions of India — Buddhism and
Jainism — which are akin to Hinduism. In the subsequent years, the lessons will cover all schools and
systems of philosophy which have sprung in Bharatavarsha in the medieval period and later the course will
cover even modern schools of thought like Brahma Samaj, Arya Samaj, Ramakrishna Mission, etc. These
courses are meant to enlighten especially the Hindus abroad, who are cut off from the original sources.
