SADHU PROF. V. RANGARAJAN’S VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA

 

Sadhu Prof. V. Rangarajan, initiated disciple of Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar of Tiruvannamalai, will be visiting South Africa on adharma prachar yatra for the thirteenth time with the grace and blessings of Bhagavan from Wednesday, April 21, 2018 to Monday, June 18, 2018.  He will return to Bangalore on June 18, 2018. Sadhu has been invited by Sri Ranjiv Nirghin, President of Midlands Hindu Society, Pietermaritzberg, and Sri Ashwin Trikamjee, President of South African Hindu Maha Sabha and his visit is sponsored by Smt. Sherita Kommal and Sri Teddy Kommal of SUTRA Magazine, Pretoria.

Sadhuji will be giving talks and discourses under the auspices of various religious, cultural and educational institutions besides interviews in radio and TV. In view of the Centenary of Yogi Ramsuratkumar on December 1, 2018, Sadhuji will be giving special talks on the life and mission of the great saint and savant in spreading the Ramanama Taraka Mantra—Aum Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram—for world peace and harmony.

Sadhuji will also organize Sri Bharatamata Poojan on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Triteeya—Vaushaka Shukla Triteeya —falling on April18, 2018, under the auspices of Sister Nivedita Academy of South Africa. He will also make house visits to perform poojas and give initiation to devotees.

Akshaya Triteeya will be celebrated in Sri Bharatamata Mandir at Kithaganur, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, with special abhisheka, havan, poojas and Pongala Offering to the Divine Mother, Sri Bharatabhavani, by mothers and sisters as usual. Smt. Bharati Rangarajan will be coordinating the programmes in the Mandir in the absence of Sadhu Rangarajan.

Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar Centenary falling on December 1, 2018, will be celebrated on a grand scale. An International Ramnam Convention and release of GLIMPSES OF A GREAT YOGI—Yogi Ramsuratkumar Centenary Commemoration Volume, a comprehensive biography of Bhagavan and narration of the experiences of the Sadhu about his shiksha guru, and a condensed version titled SPARKLES FROM GLIMPSES OF A GREAT YOGI will mark the Centenary Celebrations.

The fourth and enlarged edition of the book “Glimpses of A Great Yogi” capturing the experiences of Sadhu Rangarajan with Yogi Ramsuratkumar, Godchild, Tiruvannamalai was released on March 18, 2018. YOGI RAMSURATKUMAR YOUTH ASSOCIATION will be holding, for the twenty fifth consecutive year, Oratorical Contests on Swami Vivekananda, in connection with the National Youth Day and 150th Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, for the award of Yogi Ramsuratkumar Rolling Shields and Prizes to school students. The competitions will be held for students of schools in Bangalore city and suburb, for the fourth consecutive year, as per the programme given below.

The contests will be held on topics specified for each level as given below:

Senior level: Stds. VIII, IX & X

Topic:                     Swami Vivekannda—Prophet of Patriotism

Junior level: Stds. V, VI & VII

Topic:                     Inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda

Sub-Juniors: Stds. I to IV

Topic:                     Life of Swami Vivekananda

Each contestant will be given five minutes to speak either in English or Kannada. There will be three prizes— first, second and third—in each level. YOGI RAMSURATKUMAR ROLLING SHIELDS will be awarded to the schools presenting the best speakers in Senior and Junior levels. Consolation prizes will be given to all the contestants. Any number of contestants can participate from each school. Those intending to participate may register their names on or before Saturday, January 19, 2013.
